Matt Nathanson's "Car Crash"
I was listening to Matt Nathanson's live album, At The Point, and I got to thinking about how I can't wait for his next album of new material. When I saw him play solo in April and with his band in October '05, he played a new song called "Car Crash". It may be his best song to date, and I'm in a sharing kinda mood this morning.

Saw the matty nay last night in dc opening for pink, and he started with car crash-i have to agree, it's one of his best and he sounds amazing. He even agreed to do a little blog pimpin for me last night, so hopefully i'll have that online soon. hope you get to see him this fall. he said that he'll be back around co-headlining with Carbon Leaf, so it should be great fun.
I wish he had released a studio album of new material, as opposed to putting out "At the Point" - he's such an album tease!
Am I the only one who felt the live release was sort of lackluster? I feel like the mastering was terrible... the sound is really flat. I thought the shows themselves were incredible, but all of that is lost on the album for me.
I don't think the sound is all that bad, but I can understand why the album doesn't do justice to seeing Matt in person at a venue like The Point. On rare occasions live records translate the energy that was in the room, or at least some kind of energy, to the listener. But mostly they fall short.
I have bootlegs that are on par with The Point's sound quality. Those aren't even soundboard feeds. Love the record, though.
I don't know why these accidents are happening. If they drived carefully i hope it might not happen.
Most of the accidents are happening due to OVERSPEED. Life is in our hands.
